India is a surreally beautiful country, some of its monuments are among the most impressive you’ll ever dream of seeing. Every corner of India deserves a visit and that’s why this is a country map instead of a city map. Anything interesting in terms of architecture is here. If you find any mistakes, or have any suggestions please let me know. My intention is to keep it useful. Hope you enjoy!

Hi Virginia. I live in India but I have to say, even I didn’t know as much. You’re doing a brilliant work here. And to make this guide, I can imagine how much you’d have to put in. Seriously, amazing job done. You’re my inspiration. Always.

Dear Khyatirajani, these words are so encouraging. It took me long hours to make so given that you live there, I am really pleased by the time invested 🙂
If you find any mistakes, let me know too as this is a work in progress. Hope you are having a lovely week 😘

This is lovely as ever, Virginia. The Gandhi Bhavan in Chandigarh was designed by Pierre Jeanneret, not his cousin, though.

Hi Colin, thanks for your kind words. I had a dilemma with this buildings because I read contradictory information from different sources. Are you sure it was designed by Le Corbusier?

Not by Corb but by Pierre Jeanneret. I think it’s conflicting because Corb oversaw the whole plan but Pierre was based there during the 50s and did work like this building. Hope that helps!

Ahhh, ok. Just changed the map to Pierre Jeanneret. I wasn’t quite sure about it so I am glad you pointed out to me. Plus you are an expert on Le Corbusier, so even more grateful 🙂

Hi Virginia!
Love your list!
Although it is very exhaustive, I would love to suggest few more places of architectural importance in Mumbai, to add to your list.
Art Deco precinct around the Oval Maidan (recently recogonised as UNESCO world heritage)
Portuguese church
National Gallery of Modern Art
Khotachiwadi
Eros Cinema
Flora Fountain
P.S. The following locations are wrongly marked
Siddhivinayak Temple
Mount Mary Church
Dhobi Ghat
