21 Inspirational Working Spaces

Have you ever felt your desk is this wonderful and creative space where you come up with your best ideas? Most uf us spend long hours in front of a computer on a relatively small working space. However, if this space is arranged correctly, hours fly by and we enjoy our working hours. Placing the table towards the light, including some green details and having inspirational books and images around help us work at ease.

Not all uf us work in the same way, so here are several examples of working spaces. Which looks like the space you’d like to work in? Hope you get some inspiration.

    • Hi Emilio, I’m sad because you didn’t like any of these spaces! Just checked your working space and it looks pretty minimalistic to me, at least your desk. I’d love to stretch my view and see some of the books on your shelf 😉 any recommended readings?

      • Not enough room in most, and the desk is minimalistic because you don’t see the “L” . . . two printers, a scanner.

. . . and normally there are books on the desk.

The bottom half of the bookcase are Melisa’s cookbooks. The top shelf has photography, postprocessing, and writing books, and about seven years of Analogs of Science Fiction Science Fact (unread – I’m slowly making my way through them now that I am retired). Second shelf has a mix of skeptic/critical thinking books and a few Italian books (fiction). Also some oddities like Native American folklore, mythology, and books on birds, bugs, and trees.

Mind you, I’m listing what is there now. The photo shows similar but not exactly what is there now.

Not sure about recommendation . . . the bulk of the books I read are in the bookcases in the lower-level of our house, and many are collections of cartoons (Calvin, FoxTrot, etc)

Fiction books are restricted to Science Fiction.

Recommendations . . . hmm . . . I tell you what; stay tuned for a post or two about my books.

If you can’t wait, tell me a genre preference and I’ll tell you what I like.

        • Wow! I see you have a big collection over there. I love existentialism, Fred Uhlman, Herman Hesse… so if you have one of those in hand I’d be very grateful :))

    • Thanks Sally! Every person is sooo different 🙂 Also, one thing is the intention and another thing is the reality. As much as I try to keep my desk clear, the truth is that most of the time I’m surrounded by plans, models and notes haha! Maybe that boosts my creativity… who knows!

    • Glad you liked those! I really like some styles, like #7, but you’re right some jobs make it impossible to work there. I wish I could fit all my architecture plans in a table, but I can’t heheh! I guess the same happens with you right?
